Quality Control (QC) Specialist

ITC Service Group has an immediate need for individuals to perform quality control in our engineering group here in our Corporate office (Citrus Heights, CA).

The QC specialist performs quality reviews of Outside Plant Engineering Permit Packages and ISP packages created by the CADD team mainly but not limited to AutoCAD, NDS, Aramis, Visio.

This individual must have a thorough understanding of OSP/ISP Design and Engineering. This includes the ability to read and interpret field notes, ROW maps and easement records. Candidates must be able to work with the various teams within the engineering department to ensure the plans are compliant with the Engineering, CADD and Permitting team standards and requirements.


The successful candidate must meet a majority of the knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience requirements outlined below.

  • Experience with telecommunication projects

  • Maintain full knowledge of the scope of work and client’s requirements for each project.

  • Review of Traffic Control Plans (TCP) and make sure that all meet requirements for approval.

  • Proficient in the different programs in which the plans were created. (CADD, Aramis, NDS, Visio) in order to make the corrections needed for the deliverables.

  • Work well with teams

  • Be skilled in multi-tasking with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve

  • Excellent oral /Written Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent follow up skills

  • Ability to create and maintain standards.

    The QC specialist shall be responsible for ensuring that the permit plans meet all requirements to guarantee the client’s and jurisdictions approval.  To accomplish this, the QC specialist will reference, the field work, engineering designs, client specifications and CADD standards and jurisdictions requirements.


    •             Review permit drawings/files or any form of deliverable.

    •             Review design to ensure constructability.

    •            Redline prints with QC mark ups, scan and save for reference and feedback to CADD.

    •            Be able to make corrections in any software in which the files were originated.

    •             Consult with project managers and designers as necessary to resolve permitting issues.

    •             Evaluate processes and make recommendations on efficiency improvements.

    Job Requirements:         

    •             Minimum of 3 years of experience with OSP networks design and, ISP design, Fiber to the Home, F1 and F2.

    •             Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma/GED.

    •             Read and interpret OSP plant maps, property descriptions, blueprints, construction plans

                  and specifications.

    •             Have an understanding of right-of-way and easements.

    •             Experience with OSP networks design and electronics.

    •             Intermediate proficiency with standard software programs such as Microsoft Office

                  (Word, Excel and Outlook, CADD, Aramis, NDS, Visio).

    •             Maintain a positive, professional image.

    •             Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

    •             Must possess the highest standards of integrity at all times.

Physical Demands

Work involves sitting for long periods of time, reaching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Working under strict timelines and stress.


Employee is expected to be on the job and on time every scheduled workday. Work hours can change from day to day.  It is his/her responsibility to know when the work day starts and ends on each scheduled work day.  If it is necessary that you will be absent or late for any reason, employee needs to call direct manager by 8:00 am on the first and each subsequent day the employee will be absent or late. If employee is absent for more than 3 days a doctor’s note (explanation) is required.
