ITC Service Group (“ITC”), is seeking Jr. Design Specialists to work out of our Corporate office in Citrus Heights, CA. While some experience with telecom is desired, we will consider entry-level candidates with aptitude and motivation.

We have immediate openings for individuals in the Citrus Heights/Sacramento area. This is an entry-level position that will allow for career growth in a production (drafting/CAD) environment. The primary function of the Jr. Deign Specialist is to assist Design Specialists and Group Lead with data input into CAD.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•             Read and interpret documents necessary to complete designs (walkout prints,

               drawings, layouts).

•             Incorporate rough cable design notes from an Engineer and input into CAD software programs.

•             Collaborate with team to problem solve and generate solutions to CAD problems.

•             Analyze QC results of own work to improve CAD input process.

•             Preparation of bill of materials.

•             Utilize miscellaneous databases and web sites for reference.

•             Create and print PDF files for review.

Required Education and/or Experience:

•             Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field,

              or at least 2 years of related work experience.

•             Experience using AutoCAD 2D design software (required).

•             Experience with Telephony preferred, but not required.

•             Experience with outside plant facilities management software (Aramis, NDS) preferred, but

               not required.

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

•             Proficient in AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Map 3D 2018

•             Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.

•             Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word,

              and Outlook).

•             Knowledgeable of standard drafting practices and procedures.

•             Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time.

•             Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.

•             Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.

•             Adaptability, initiative and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

Work involves sitting for long periods of time, reaching. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Working under strict timeline and variable stress levels.
