ITC Service Group (“ITC”), is seeking an Information Security Associate in Denver, CO.  The  Information Security Associate will be responsible for assisting with the information security and privacy for a financial institution. The scope of this program is Bank-wide and includes information in electronic, print, and other formats.  The purposes of this program include:  to assure that information created, acquired or maintained by the Bank and its authorized users is used in accordance with its intended purpose; to protect Bank information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats; and to assure that the Bank complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security, and privacy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Assist with training all employees annually in their responsibilities under the Information Security Program.
  • Work with key IT and Compliance personnel in the development of Information Security policies.
  • Ensure that the Network/Systems are available, monitored, and maintained.
  • Assist with keeping the technology infrastructure running seamlessly, efficiently, and effectively while ensuring compliance with established standards and policies.
  • Assist with education and training program on information security and privacy matters for Bank employees.
  • Assist with Incident Response Plan (IRP) to address security incidents. 
  • Assist with risk assessment program targeting information security and privacy matters, recommend methods for vulnerability detection and remediation, and oversee vulnerability testing.
  • Work with Bank’s technology resources and support vendors and IT service providers.
  • Keep abreast of the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts, and vulnerabilities as it pertains to the Bank.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • All candidates are subject to a mandatory pre-employment background check, and drug screen.

Required Experience

  • Previous information security experience (3-4+ years)
  • Previous information technology experience (3-4+ years)
  • Previous asset search experience (2+ years)
  • Previous crisis management experience (2+ years)
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, investigation and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and manage projects that will affect other departments and functions, as well as the corporate environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of the security contracting process for personnel and equipment
  • Basic knowledge of financial investigation process models and applications, and flowcharting techniques
  • Basic knowledge of accounting, auditing, compliance processes and their interaction with the security function
  • Extensive knowledge of personal computer operation and use of advanced business computer tools

Preferred Experience

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Experience working with information technology systems to include but not limited to:  vulnerability management systems, documentation and collaboration systems, software patching systems, denial of service mitigation systems, firewall and anti-virus systems, security monitoring systems, and intrusion detection and prevention systems, cloud services, data center hosting and network services.

Minimum Physical Activity Requirements

  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
  • Perceive the normal range of sounds with no less than a 40-decibel loss at 500 Hz and 2,000 Hz with or without correction.
  • Visually identify and distinguish between various documents and currency with a normal range of sight having no less than 20/40 to 20/50 vision with or without corrections.
  • Reach and retrieve objects outside of an immediate range.
  • Stand or support oneself and stay in an upright position.
  • Raise substantial objects from lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.
  • Pinch or pick and maneuver small objects by whatever means.

Education and/or Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree requested
