GIS Lead

Our business involves processing field data, QC’ing it, mapping, and delivery of qualified data to our clients. The integration of GIS into our process is crucial to our business. We are looking to bring a GIS Lead on board to help us with the geospatial piece of our delivery process. In this role, you will be responsible for conversion, update, and analysis of GIS data as it relates to deliverables on projects. Work with our Engineering department to secure GIS and make it application accessible internally and externally. Define and meet mapping and GIS data needs, implement GIS best practices and ensure compliance with relevant data standards, policies and regulations. Digitize tract maps, engineering designs, utility easements, and right-of-ways (typically). Train/assist members of Engineering department with GIS software and workflow processes. Experience working in the Telecom Industry is highly desired.


Work involves sitting for long periods of time, reaching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Working under strict timelines and stress.


Employee is expected to be on the job and on time every scheduled workday.  Engineering Managers work hours can change from day to day.  It is his/her responsibility to know when the work day starts and ends on each scheduled work day.  If it is necessary that you will be absent or late for any reason, employee needs to call direct manager by 8:00 am on the first and each subsequent day the employee will be absent or late. If employee is absent for more than 3 days a doctor’s note (explanation) is required.
