ITC Service Group (“ITC”), is seeking an experienced Coax Splicer in Santa Clara.  The Coax Splicer will self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications, and be responsible for ensuring that all needed tools and equipment are available at the jobsite, working from engineered blueprints, and keeping track of production. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of splicing experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:     

  • Climb poles to complete daily construction assignments as needed

  • Field train and control/oversee the work of other Splicers when necessary

  • Resolve complaints with property owners in areas that you’re working. (Talk to residents & explain what it is we are doing)                       

  • Fill-out daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete 'as-built maps' for areas built

  • Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts

  • Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions

  • Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary                                                                               

  • Able to perform the physical tasks required in this position for the entire assigned shift

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

All candidates are subject to a mandatory pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical exam, and must possess and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Required Experience

  • Must be certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber

  • Must own all required hand tools and climbing gear needed to perform the daily functions of the position

  • Possess a valid driver’s license (class 'C' minimum) or be eligible and willing to obtain the required license for the position (possibly class 'B' - light commercial)
