ITC Service Group (“ITC”), is seeking an entry - mid-level CDL Driver/Construction Assistant i n  Santa Clara, CA .   The  CDL Driver/Construction Supervisor Assistant  will r eceive, inspect, store and secure all supplies and materials when delivered, and be responsible for maintaining all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: .                                                                                                                                               

  • Drivers will be responsible for driving (operating, maneuvering, navigating) commercial vehicles for the purpose of transporting and distributing CATV material and equipment related to telecommunication operations. To support the company value of teamwork, CDL drivers will be expected to assist as laborers in the field with any construction projects as needed
  • Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment and supplies needed for daily work assignments, setting-up of worksite traffic and safety controls and properly securing work area
  • Function as the right hand to the construction supervisor and perform a variety of tasks as assigned 
  • Maintain material usage logs/spreadsheets to comply with our customer’s usage and tracking systems
  • Assist in the management, maintenance and upkeep of fleet tools and equipment assigned to the project

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

All candidates are subject to a mandatory pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical exam, and must possess and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Required Experience

  • Possess a valid driver’s license (class 'A' or 'B' minimum) 
  • Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
  • Able to perform the essential functions required in this position for the entire assigned shift.

Preferred Experience

  • Telecommunications construction background
