ITC Service Group has openings available in the San Diego area for Permitting Coordinators. We are looking to hire individuals with experience working on utility plans, and that have knowledge of construction standards and municipal ordinances.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Work closely with project management to create permit acquisition schedules that align with project construction schedules in multiple municipalities.
  • Experience or knowledge of State, Highway Department & Municipal requirements for Telecommunications construction permitting processes.
  • Working knowledge of traffic control permitting requirements.
  • Interface with various municipal building and roadway departments to complete permit application requests, coordinate work inspections, and secure project completion approvals.
  • Deliver completed permit applications and fees to various municipal Public Works or business license departments to secure construction and right-of-way encroachment permits.
  • Prepare purchase order and check requests for permit fees associated with project.
  • Track and manage permits for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with municipalities and other permitting entities.
  • Perform independent permit walk-outs.
  • Perform site visits and field meetings with inspectors and construction crews as required.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications and database tracking systems. 


  • Three (3) or more years practical experience working as a Permitting Coordinator, local preferred

 Other Requirements:

  • Must possess valid Driver’s License

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening

Physical Demands

Work involves sitting for long periods of time, reaching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.  Working under strict timelines and stress.


Employee is expected to be on the job and on time every scheduled workday. Work hours can change from day to day.  It is his/her responsibility to know when the work day starts and ends on each scheduled work day.  If it is necessary that you will be absent or late for any reason, employee needs to call direct manager by 8:00 am on the first and each subsequent day the employee will be absent or late. If employee is absent for more than 3 days a doctor’s note (explanation) is required.
